Tei Leonardo
Tei Leonardo-Ampon, a lawyer turned visual artist, made waves internationally with her sold-out exhibit at the prestigious ART CAPITAL fair, held at the Grand Palais Museum in Paris, France, from February 18-22, 2025.
At the fair, Tei presented three of her standout works—two from her La Luz De Amor (The Light of Love) series and one from her Happy Flowers on a Piano series. Each piece radiated a distinct energy of joy, hope, and love, resonating deeply with art enthusiasts.
Fondly known as Atty. Tei, she is a founding member and a driving force behind the Filipino Advocates for Visual Arts (FAVA), an organization dedicated to creating and promoting art that not only heals and inspires but also fosters cultural development and social change. Under the mentorship of esteemed artists Brando Bati, Rico Aunzo, Adler Llagas, Daniel Dumaguit, and Bernardo Maac, Tei has committed herself to championing Filipino artistry on the global stage—a mission she proudly carried to the Grand Palais.
Tei’s international debut reinforced her belief that it is never too late to pursue one’s passion. A vocal advocate for women’s empowerment, she champions the idea that women, at any stage of life, have the power to become who they aspire to be. Through her journey, Tei continues to inspire others to follow their dreams and break barriers, while promoting Filipino talent and culture on the world stage.
